I really dropped the ball on this one . . .

Back in early December, Victor had asked me to post the photo below, of a 3D printed PT Boat sent to him by his daughter. He though a good label for it would be PT Boat after battle.

Let me explain in a little more detail:

Vics daughter is the Director of Athletics at the Colgate University in New York. While she was attending a dinner with colleagues she was presented the 3D printed model which was produced on the schools new 3D printer. It appears the dinner attendees knew her father was the worlds biggest PT Boat fan and had authored books on the subject. While using only the basic information from an Elco engineering drawings published in his book, they attempted to make a model from the bare basics of information supplied on the drawing. Im not sure as to their expertise or knowledge on 3D modeling and/or printing, but I thought it was a valiant first effort and a very kind gesture.

Vic, sorry for the delay, I loved it. At the very least it will make for a great conversation piece derived from his first book.

Dick . . . .

Cool, thanks for sharing that Dick. She must be well loved there!

Yes Will, very exciting tech. I like the wedding cake toppers couples can print of themselves, and repair parts people make to fix broken things they own.
