I saw this before Ted, although it has been on EBAY before. I am curious as to where they got the template to make this replica, which by the way is not very good example.

It looks good to me, I like the bronze better than the silver colored alloy(pot metal or aluminum probably) anyway, as most of the larger navy ships have bronze. Most likely they found an original, created a lost wax cast, and changed the numbers. Or they used new technology and made it with a computer, such as you see on shows like Orange County Choppers, when the laser cut custom wheels. I made a miniature one from balsa and Elmer's wood putty for my PT 48 model years ago, it hides a battery box I have set up to power the LED lights.

I base my thoughts on seeing the work my friend does in restoration and the work that the foundry does with the cast parts that he does, it is superior to this..............
