Thanks for the heads up, I only wish one of these companies would understand the need for an Elco 77 Foot model. I would guess that our friends at Italeri will listen to our request in the future.............

Frank and all,
I sent Italeri a request for a 1/35th scale second-series Elco 77- footer (PT 45-68) kit with parts for both a standard boat and extra parts for a PT 59/60/61 gunboat, along with pictures of both.
I also requested a combat crew figure set to man all those .50's and 40-millimeters, should they decide to go with such a kit. Here's hoping...
Although the Merit kit looks to be very well realized (and they include four Mark VIII torpedoes, no less, which no one else has!), and I wouldn't mind having a PT 103-class 80' Elco kit in 1/48th scale, there's no way I'd lay out $90 or $100 for one. My Revell 1/72nd boats (several) and (one) Italeri 1/35th boat will do me just fine.
