I just went to Italeri's web-site and saw they are requesting ideas for new, current and old kits. Here's our chance to hammer them about the 77 footers we all must have. They are also requesting improvement ideas on some of their current kits and this is opening up a boat load of worms from some of you guys.

I sent one from my own email and one posted on their site. What I wrote them is posted a few posts down in Dave's original post..
Everyone else should pester them too.
Take care,
TED

Thats great Ted. I also just saw that the new 109 crew looks to have 7 members. 2 officers, and 5 guys in jeans with t-shirts and one with no shirt. Here is a link to the very very small photo but drag it and enlarge it. Also, those castings the new resign came out 100%

I had already sent them an E Mail yesterday, about figures, and the chance of getting an Elco 77 Footer in the mix. I think if they produce the 77 Footer, they will go like hot cakes. Heck that's if Roy doesn't purchase them all.

Damn it!!!! There's a guy with a damn mop again!! That is the first guy to get cut up, change his position and he can be cleaning a 20mm or the 37mm with a cleaning rod.
Take care,

I had suggested to Italeri that I would be more than happy to send them photos of PT BOAT crew from the Pacific. You should be able to kit bash that guy Ted pretty easy, but I will admit that this is a huge break through for Italeri in getting us some figures. True, we need more, but this is a great start. Most Companies wouldn't even listen to our request's............

I just sent them a message suggesting a PT-41. Historically it can be tied to Douglas MacArthur's escape from the Philippines. They've also done most of the work and Dick was kind enough to send them a ton of materials. I suggested a follow up kit could be the PT-59 gun boat siting JFK's second boat and the rescue of Marines at Warrior River. That boat can be made into a number of different boats and Italeri has already created most all of the parts.

Secondly (and don't hate me) I suggested a 110" WWII Sub Chaser. I think this would be a very interesting kit for them as it has cross over potential with the R/C world. They've also created some of the weapons already.

That's my two cents. I encourage everyone to go to their site and send them a suggestion.

Dave

Dave;
In 1/35th scale? That's only 37.68 inches Cool, I can convert it to PGM 1 class more weapons.....Then we can shoot for the 173' PGM9 class
Take care,
TED

Thats OK Ted. Stick a fishing pole in his hands and stand the broom up leaning on the engine room hatch next to the swab or maybe put him on the dock sweeping off those pesty butts or even holding onto a spring line. I love the fact there are 4 different lids for 7 figures. Can't wait to see what everybody is going to do with so much material. Looking forward to plenty of photos from all you builders on the board.
