Fantastic model, Pat. I do have a question regarding placement of the torpedo tubes. They look like they are too far aft to allow a second tube behind them if the boat was set up in four tube configuration. Were the tubes relocated in a two-tube plus depth charges setup, perhaps for weight distribution, or is this an optical illusion in the photo's angle?

Foreshortening in the photo. The mounting pads are laid out per the Elco drawings for a four-tube boat.

How's it look from another angle?

Pat;
Wow you really have a sharp eye, with all the damage to focus on in this photo you barely notice the step in the background. I have another photo of Ken Prescott in the cockpit of PT 61, it appears the photographer was kneeling or standing on the canopy and you can see the step behind him, but the photo is damaged so I wasn't too sure what it looked like.
Thanks.
Take care,
TED

You can also just see a couple horizontal pieces on the aft bulkhead... I never quite figured out what's going on there, nothing in the drawings...

Horizontal bits... grab rails? Partly visible in another PTC shot... wonder if these were on all the 77's?

That's the ticket!. I was wondering if maybe that other shot had wide angle distortion. Damn! That boat is gorgeous! I want one in 1/35, 1/48 or even 1/72!!!

Italeri, are you listening?

Wonderful job Pat. With all your own parts, I am curious as to the weight of the entire boat. She must be pretty light weight..................

Don't have a scale for it, but it's just a few pounds.

Well, I'm basically done except for the crate, and maybe a couple more needed details.

Pat,
Fantastic work, not only the model itself but also with the CAD skills.

Best Regards,
Stu.
