Pat . . . .
Just outstanding, specially when you consider what little time you've been working on this project. Have you entertained the idea of contacting Italeri and see if they are interested in buying your digital file of the late Elco 77'. If so they could have a model ready to go to manufacturing in very little time, and maybe make a nice return on your beautiful work..
I'm not a CAD or 3D person yet, everything is still drawn by hand traced in Adobe Illustrator such as this 1970 project for Lockheed:
I'm trying to learn SolidWorks, a cousin to your CATIA. I'm not too sure how close the two are. For years now I've open up Step files in Solidworks than created the "Drawing" portion, place the model as isometric "Line Art" then export/save the Iso as a Adobe Illustrator file where I would then trace the art as an .EPS. The about C-5A however was drawn way before 3D Modeling was available, not even the old wireframe model.
Again, fabulous work!!!!

Guns assembled and painted. Again, all 3D printed in 1:24 scale.
I'm painting this late 77 in 5D dark gray... sure is hard to photograph!
Anyone have a source for 1:24 photoetched gunsights?

Pat;
FYI only PT 59-68 had this turret shielding/depression stop.
Take care,

Yup, roger that. And two tubes and eight DC's.
Now the question is, WHICH boat shall I mark it as? Model is "as deployed", in 5D dark gray, no field mods...

Pat;
How about these two suggestions:
PT64 RON 4 LCDR John Bulkeley at the wheel Melville1942.(PT 64 had shielding on the 20mm mount)
PT67 RON4 Melville 1942, look very closely, LT Robert B. Kelly is at the wheel.
Or you could go with PT 62, Jack Duncan's boat. However, at Melville PT 62 can easily be identified in photos as she had different depression shielding on the .50 cal turrets, 62's was flat sided.
Take care,
