Watched part of a movie last night on TCM called TODAY WE LIVE. It was made in the 30's and has some kinda neat (by movie standards) shots of CMB-type boats making a torpedo attack on a freighter. The boats sort of look like Thornycrofts or something similar. Single forward-facing fish, stern launched from a center trough.
Worth a look.

Good catch Will! I love the little surprises you sometimes find on those old movies!

Pretty interesting to see those mini-torpedo boats from WWI in this film, and fairly decent process shots of the guys on the boats at speed at sea.
Those scenes reminded me of the full and complete original name of naval destroyers -- "torpedo-boat destroyers."
