Hello PT boat community. The Alamo Scouts Historical Foundation has verified that the FOLLOWING 89 PT BOATS SUPPORTED the Alamo Scouts during World War II, but we are looking to identify additional unidentified boats in preparation for our final reunion on July 29, 2014. If anyone has official reports, diary entries, letters, photographs, recollections, etc., indicating operations with the Alamo Scouts, we would love to hear from you. Please email me directly at lzedric@gmail [dot com] or go to our website. Thank you.

P.S. My book, Silent No More: The Alamo Scouts in Their Own Words, was published in 2013, and contains narratives and reports from the crew of the boats listed above. Visit my website at www.Lancebooks.com to check it out.

Lance;
PT 446 was a Vosper lend leased to USSR. Below are two photos of PT 127 RON 7 LT McNamara as Skipper.

Photo of Alamo Scouts returning to base after extraction by PT 127.

Photo is of rescued 24th Cav. troopers, Alamo Scouts, Philippine Guerillas and PT Boat Crew.
Take care,
TED

Hi Ted, and thanks for the info. According to my research, the photos of PT-127 were likely taken on/about 17 Dec 1944 in which the mission with the 24th Cav Scouts, Filipino guerrillas, a sailboat, etc., is described in detail in a National Archives mission report, but no mention of Alamo Scouts. Also, only one Alamo Scout team was operating at that time and all movements of that time are verified. Hopefully, there is another explanation, for I would love to document another PT boat as having worked with the Scouts. I know there are many unaccounted for. As for PT-446, simply a typo.

Best regards,

Lance
