CDR Jim Moses was kind enough to send these photos from his father's collection and I thought you guys might enjoy them. CDR Moses wrote (slightly edited):

Knowing your interest in small combatants, I thought you might be interested in some of my father’s photography I just came across. He was CO, Naval Advanced Base Bremerhaven 1955-56, and presided over the return of the Lend-Lease PT’s from the USSR. There are four shots, three of people involved, and one of the US flag being raised on some of the boats. More historical interest than modeling detail.

A second group consists of three shots taken aboard one of the new patrol boats intended to replace the S-boats used by the Klose Patrol Group. Likely some sort of public relations cruise, as there are also US, British, and French officers aboard. Taken in the vicinity of Kiel - the Laboe memorial can be seen in the background.

Here they are - now I understand your dedication to the PT's. The 34
boat had quite a career. Glad your dad made it home. Our fathers
might have crossed paths somewhere along the line - after the war
ELDORADO out of San Diego and DESRON 24 in Newport, with a couple of DC tours in between. Bremerhaven was his last job.

I added one of a Rhine River Patrol boat, the slide was titled pass in
review. I'd be delighted to see these used any way you would like. I
think it's safe to assume that they're not official USN. They were with
a bunch of family pics, almost certainly taken with his camera, although
he must have handed it to someone else to shoot the ones he is in. So
for credit, it would just be RADM C. W. Moses, USN (Ret).

Jim Moses CDR, USN (Ret.)

Perhaps the most interesting shot for most of us is this one showing three 80' ELCOs being returned by the Soviets:

I know it's a little late to chime in on this post now but, is there any confirmation of these boats actually surviving now, mainly the nine Elcos?

All this info is in ALLIED COASTAL FORCES OF WORLD WAR TWO: VOLUME II VOSPER MTB'S AND U.S. ELCO's BY JOHN LAMBERT AND AL ROSS II.
It is hard to find, but if you can, get a copy, because its one of the PT Boat Bibles.
Take care,

my father in law brought PTs from Russia after Lend Lease over to Turkey where they were off loaded. Allegedly there are films of this but I have never found them in the house. He was on The Rushmore

Jim;
found this on USS Rushmore (LSD 14) : "USS Rushmore was present for ceremonies at Istanbul, Turkey, in May 1954 on the occasion of the return of various small lend-lease vessels from the USSR. Rushmore returned these ex-Soviet Navy vessels to the United States."
Take care,

Ted, I was station in Bremerhaven July 55 and I do not remember any boats there from the Russians. I made a trip to Kiel in the summer of 56 on a boat from the Weser River Patrol to meet the Russians returning many Pt Boats. I would like to hear from you so if you would e-mail me at robertbobbyedmond@hotmail.com
Hope to hear from you.
