It is my hope and wish this weekend, that EVERYONE who has the God given privilege to call themselves AMERICANS, takes a few minutes this weekend to thank a veteran or currently serving member of the Armed Forces, for their service, dedication, and sacrifice, to uphold liberty, freedom, and the American Way. I personally would like to Thank Earl, C.J., Arthur, Pat, and Jack and for all those who are now on their last patrol, for going into the boats before me, giving me and my DBG brothers our heritage, and for their sacrifice, honor, courage, and dedication.
This is and always will be the greatest country in the world, and may God continue to Bless The United States of America.

This morning I read a story about two officers who graduated from Annapolis together. They were roommates and best of friends. One, Travis Manion, chose the Marine Corp. The other, Brendan Looney the Navy and ultimately became a Navy SEAL. 1st Lt. Travis Manion was killed during his 2nd tour in Iraq training Iraqi soldiers. Captain Brendan Looney was driven to excel as a SEAL and achieved that goal, but was killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
Lt. Manion was buried in his home town. After the death of Captain Looney the families decided it was fitting that these two friends, brothers, would be interned next to each other at Arlington National Cemetery. President Obama singled them out during his Memorial Day address "The friendship between 1st Lt. Travis Manion and Lt. Brendan Looney reflects the meaning of Memorial Day", "Brotherhood, Sacrifice. Love of Country". There is a book about about their friendship called Brothers Forever.
This Memorial Day my thoughts are with them and their families. Today I'm privately thinking of all who served when I couldn't and paid the ultimate sacrifice.

In the interest of giving the proper respect.. it is SEAL and not Seal. This is due to SEAL standing for SEa, Air and Land. "Seals are those things you see hanging out on buoys" was the way a SEAL explained it to me once....
