The first issue 0f Model X had a good article on building PT 596. I bought mine from
Sprue Brother Models for $2.49 plus postage. (816) 759 8484. In case anyone
interested, give them a call. I got mine in 2 says, a great magazine.

Hi Victor,
I thought you bought the magazine for the 1.12 Karnstein. I agree this is ...er... was a great magazine. Very good articles done by excellent modelers with beautiful photography. Jeff did an excellent out of the box build of that kit. I also enjoyed the article on scratch building crew done by Pat Stansell. I think this was done before the Italeri crew release. I'm glad I have this one in my collection too.

I looked up the magazine and didn't realize how old the link I found was. If you have a similar intent don't bother unless you want to be an adult web cam model. They (sniff) turned me down, I guess not everyone has an appreciation for well aged beef.

I like the Model X magazine so much I tried to subscribe it to no avail. The phone no.
listed inside is no good. Are they still in business? If not, how many issues did they published? I was out of the modeling thing for so long I don’t know what’s going on
any more. Still I really like this magazine. Any help on this will be appreciated.

I gathered this from a forum posted in 2011 from someone asking the same question:

They folded a long time ago and only put out 1 or 2 issues including the pilot.

That might work Will, Frank has that sexy Ron Jeremy thing going. Some of the orange hairs around here might enjoy stuffing some virtual dollars into his virtual boxers.

Is it me? Or did everyone just hurl! No offense Frank!

Victor, yea, they did fold after 2 issues. My favorite printed magazine for modeling these days is The Weathering Magazine. Mig Jaminez and his friends do some wonderful weathering and spread their subjects around to everything from aircraft to ships and figures. Mig has a soft spot for very attractive models.... and I'm not talking about the plastic type. Beautifully photographed as well.
