is now being offered for pre-order at Free Time Hobbies web site for $79.99. Looks like the list price is going to be $93.00. They also have a couple sprue shots to take a gander at.

Box art is not always a good indicator and you can't tell from the sprue shots but the forward port 20mm mount is not correct. It doesn't appear to have any photo etch. I't will be interesting to see this one in the flesh. I wish they had done a different boat though instead of just copying Italeri.

Yep, it's a 1/48th scale Italeri PT 596.

Hard to tell really from those sprues shots but the torpedo's & a few other parts look chunky. The fins look wrong. Easy fix and I'm sure someone could come up with some nice after market stuff.
On the upside the rockets in the storage box come separate. I think If I spring for one of these it will be the 109 when it's released. But who knows when more details are forthcoming, I may change my mind.

I've been looking at the sprue shots. I'm not sure what you call them but the depressions for the screws that attach the warhead and tail section are really oversized. I can't see the plates on the bottom of the warhead either?? There are some aftermarket torpedoes that look better. I'm still anxious to see more and what they do with the 109 model.
I'm interested to see if they did anything about the curve of the deck bow and stern. I can't tell from the photos 100% but I'm guessing they didn't.
