Does anyone have any pictures of the forward 37mm gun mount on PT 156? I'll use the 1/35 37mm mount from PT 596 without the mounting plate if I need to. This would be in the 1943-1944 time frame when the boat was stationed in New Guinea.

Steve;
I think Wayne posted photos of PT 157 underway with PT 156, besides, he would be your best source, since he built a model for Rex Anderson. Rex was also involved with the construction as most of the information Wayne gathered came from him.
Take care,
TED

PT-156, October 1944, Bow 37 mm. Gun in this photo is the M-4 model which fitted perfectly to a Mk-10 20 mm mount. M-4, 37 mm was shorter weapon than the later M-9, 37 mm mounted on the bow of PT-596. By this time period the Mk-10 replaced the earlier base manufactured mount. My guess this mount was on the 156's stern and was re-installed on the bow for the 37 mm after the quad 50 mount was fitted aft. Al Ross made an excellent comparison drawing showing differences between the M-4 and M-9, 37 mm.
