Here's a graphical view of the types of wood used for the day room cabin trunk:



Frank, if you can find the time could you please see if any of the parts I have as unspecified are listed in your Elco materials book? The drawings label the aft ones corner posts and transverse (or) crosswise coaming.

My apologies to any that are color blind... this must be pretty much useless to you.

My RTU manual shows this as Mahogany and Cedar, with a covering of Marine plywood over the the planking to form the day room, on this was painted Kapok type substance to cut down on heat from the sun. Not to much detail here, hope it helps some.

Thanks for checking Frank. Odd that the drawings didn't identify the woods, they're usually very specific. I checked dozens but no luck.
