Hi all,
I reached out to a company that produces 1/35 figures and they are considering making figures for the 1/35 PT Boats. They would like some representative photos that they can use for this project. My preference is to send them some photos for both Pacific and Med/Channel crews and maybe they'll do both for us.
Here's where I need your help. Can you post or send me example photos that I can share with them. Once we get the photos off to them I'm going to ask anyone interested to write and encourage them to create these figures for us. All the support we can get would be helpful.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing what you have to share with them.
Thank you
Dave

If the company involved is one I kind of think they may be we could be in for a real treat if they do.
Some of the figure sets coming out of the company's in Eastern Europe really are quite imaginative and sculpted to incredible standards.

I think this is long over-due, and companies should listen to the demands of those who build these wonderful PT models. With the right figures at an affordable price, there is no stopping the type of Dioramas that could be constructed. Thanks Dave for the contact, I have sent you some photos............

Okay, I've sent the information off to the person I've been corresponding with. The name of their company is Master Box Ltd. I would encourage everyone to visit their site and if you like what you see (can't imagine you wouldn't) then drop them a message and encourage them to create some 1/35 Pacific PT figures for us.

David;
OUTSTANDING, selection, they have been doing great work. I also second the idea of looking at Gene's website for photographic examples, so they can model figures after REAL PT Boat guys!!!
FYI. there is also a guy in Poland(his company is called Aber,) who makes outstanding gun barrels, I purchased some and they are very nice. Another Polish company is called Master Models, they also make barrels and are very good.
Take care,
TED

Ahoy there.
Master Box is a FANTASTIC company when it comes to utilizing feedback. Alex changed the incorrect Lee-Enfield rifles in one set to the proper ones when he was told about the error. Master Box welcomes feedback and they are an immense pleasure to deal with. Be sure to mention whether you want combat poses or relaxed poses. Also, mention the need for the life preservers.
Cheers from Peter

I agree Peter, they have produced some really different figure sets and kind of turned the figure manufacturing fraternity on it's head. Some of the Off duty figure sets just ooze life.
I can imagine a combat set, plus an off duty relaxing set and a set of crew engaged in day to day chores or maintenance set would be just excellent, some nice additional items thrown in, buckets, brooms etc and a handful of helmets and life preservers ammo containers and such.
If they see a market, crew for Vospers and Eboats would soon follow too I would think
