Part 2 of the night mission to destroy enemy barges and capture a few prisoners is now up. We hope we will be able to gather intel on the location of their ammo and fuel dump if we can capture a few alive.

Make sure to set your viewer to 720p HD once again.

Well . . . . . . . .

Ah, another great Roy "Spielberg" Forbes production. It looked gorgeous full screen on my 27" iMac. A lot a very patient handling off all that film splitting and clip assembly as well as laying down, what, three audio tracts. Nice job, every entertaining and a lot of hard work pulled off excellently.

It's amazing the talent on this board, 3D CAD artist, Draughtsman, Video Productions, Model Building to the finest detail, and the highest degree of research and fact finding around!

Roy;
Those poor guys, they ended up getting shot at and captured, just because they drew the short straws, and were sent out by the garrison commander to the next island to bring back 4 barrels of rice wine!!! HaHaHa!!
Great work once again, one can only imagine what will be the next production release from Forbes Studios?
Take care,
TED

Thanks for the great comments guys. The final part of the mission will be up next week. We had a blast doing all the filming and the hardest part was keeping track of what I shot and what I needed to complete the project as the incident location is 72 miles away. We compiled over 5 hours of footage along with an additional 3+ hours of sounds effects and visuals for a 30 minute project. I also increased the camera locations on the 623 from 3 to 8 and 3 on each of the 3 "different" barges the giving me 17 different camera angles or 51 action locations. My XO became really proficient at handling both the PT and the "barges". I think I'm going to add some additional footage before I burn the DVD. I love Jeff's idea of a 1/16 scale destroyer but that might pose a problem getting to the river. I might also need a bigger room.

Great job Roy, the filming sequences looked good, and the smoke effect really worked well. I keep asking myself, how can you add puffs of smoke coming from the guns, and I keep scratching my head. One thought though with all those guns firing at that barge, is how to create shells blasts on the water. We used to do that as kids with fire-crackers, although not sure it would work. Try some of that smoke on the stern of the PT, during start up. I love the production thus far.

Great video nice touch with the rotating Radar dish, the turns from the bow are very effective just waiting for the full size mockups to be cut in to add to the story ( just kidding ) so far its a blast ,well done Roy.
