I found it at Squadron. WA35628.
It says crew #1. No others were listed but if there is a #1, then......

It is not by Italeri but it is made for the kit.

If I read the tiny print on The Squadron's catalog page correctly, they're described thusly;

1:35 Scale PT Boat Crew "2 highly detailed...crew figures at watch on the bridge." For Italeri PT-596. $23.98 - $21.58

Sounds like a helmsman, and maybe a guy with binocs? They'd better be damn good for costing more than ten bucks apiece...

Have just had a look at the figures on squadrons site. they are made by warrior. the detail looks very nice. 1 is wearing the chino style of 2 piece uniform & the other is wearing the dark blue jean type trousers with the paler blue shirt. poses look ok . both are wearing helmets. I'll wait & see who else brings out any more figures before i rush into buying these. still a long way to go building mine before i need a crew.

Not Bad. I checked them out. A bit pricey for 2 men, plus you need others doing other things, so you would have to buy them and reposition the arms. You are right, stand by the dock, there could be other figures cheaper in the future. You can always add Crew after the fact.

Just saw the picture of the figures. They look O.K., but, other than the helmets, neither is dressed in battle gear -- no kapok life jackets, pistol belts w/.45s and canteens, etc.

For a moment, I thought the figure with the binoculars was wearing the one-piece coveralls often seen worn by early Guadalcanal-era PT officers and crew, but since rank insignia can be seen on his collar, I guess they're supposed to be khakis.

Ed, is there any way you could post photos of those 1/35th Trumpeter figures, to add to the already impressive album of pictures of your beautiful model?

I've not assembled them yet and i have some doubts about them.

In this great looking build (not by me!!) the crewman standing on the side facing out with his hands on the rail, the one on the stern and the standing on the starboard side of the wheel house are the 3 figures in the Trumpeter kit. You get 2 of each. In the photos they are in their "kit" poses. I just noticed that the crewman standing beside the wheelhouse is different in different photos. The Trumpy one is in the next to last photo on page 3.

It looks to me like they are wearing too much clothing for SW Pacific PT operations but mybe not. hopefully somebody can elaborate.

Verlinden makes a crew and i thought the officer might be worthwhile. The sailor on the left maybe. Unfortunately, no life vests.Thoughts?

life vests should not be much of a problem. I used to paint 54mm military miniatures (same scale) and you can make loads of things with epoxy putty. They shape of a life vest should be faily easy to mold onto a figure. I am considering making a few just to hang arround the boat along with a few "pots"

Several suppliers (i.e. Warriors, Hornet) make head, hand and arm sets in 50mm (1/35th). With them you can mix and match to get unique figures....
