Hello Shipmates
PT658 and the volunteer crew had quite a busy week! We wanted to test how the boat runs and were able to take one of our sponsors, Bob Hart and his family from the Denver area on an excursion this Thursday 10-10-13. We before the trip and presented Bob with an Honorary Plaque from the crew of the PT658, and also since he was the lead Motor Mack on his old boat, PT176 from RON11, we had him start up the Packard Engines before we got underway. I am posting a few photos taken while we were underway, and then I will post some of the photos that Bob brought with him and allowed me to scan from his time aboard PT176 and PT175 in RON11 as they were in Rendova and Guadalcanal and some other bases. It was a great time and we were honored to be able to do this for a real hero and his family. Thanks Bob! We hope you will come back soon! Jerry
