Frankie . . .
Here are some screen captures, however they are not very good due to my 15-20 year old VHS recording of the movie was far from being ideal. Now maybe some screen captures from a Blue-ray DVD might be prove to be better, but not really sure.

Dick;
Thanks, as I mentioned previously, and as can be seen in these photos,
photo 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8, are all of PT 62, you can see the different style .50 cal turret depression sheilding.
Take care,
TED

All;
Gene's page 5 "Year One at Melville" shows black and white versions take during the same time frame, however, boat numbers are present.
Take care,

I just watched this movie again last night, I wonder how many guys actually saw this movie and then Volunteered for PT Boat Duty? It sure is the best "recruiting type" movie I have seen. Tyrone Power, pitches PT's more than John Bulkeley did! Just watching those beautiful 77' ELCO's riding the waves is enough for me. The photography in this is absolutely stunning, especially for 1942(even though the film is dated 1943, it was filmed in 1942, because these boats were in 1943 with RON 5 in the Solomons and RON 8 in New Guinea).
Take care,
TED

I know the B/W test photos are on Genes site, but Michael mentioned he had these in BMP. Did he ever convert them and post them? He originally wrote:
" I have dozens of captures of these boat scenes on the hard drive. They are all in BMP format. I'll try to convert to JPG and post a few when I get some time. My opinion is those Ron 4 boats were in Measure 21 Navy Blue. The color shows well in several shots. Also have nice torpedo shots and a few great shots of a four piper in measure 12 mod.

Mike"
