Hi Guys.

I'm slowly building PT 490 form the Italieri PT 596 kit, more work than I first envisaged of course.

I'm looking for info, drawings or images of the Wheel house sides. I have a down from behind shot of 486 that seems to show some storage arrangement in the side beside the turret and what appears to be switch and button boxes on the port side. I don't have a clear image of either inner sidewall of the wheel house and am pretty sure the scant detail on the kit is wrong for this batch of vessels.
I'd imagine It doesn't have to be PT 490 itself, any vessel around that would probably yield enough info to help.

Thanks Keith

Here are some RON 33 photos. Some are 490 and others boats from the same series.

Great pics but they don't really help I'm looking for info on the inside faces of the sides. Italleri leave them nice and blank apart from a door/hatch that looks out of place. I'll just have to bodge what I can then. I can glean some info from what I have but the quality of image isn't great and theres no real shot showing the side adjacent to the MG turret

Thanks anyway, much appreciated. I just want to get it as right as possible

Keith;
Also note in PT 491 photos the extra stowage box mounted to port outside bulkhead of cockpit. Also note the planked deck. and the covered Items on outside of windshied, are MK 8 gunsights, used for two Mark 50 rocket launcher mounts. PT 494, photos show a life ring with Japanese characters painted on it. The later photos of the burning boat is of PT 66, which was by then a reclassified small boat used just for VIP/FNG(F new guy)/FOG(F old guy) transport.
Take care,
TED

Fantastic photos. and a great shot of 490 wheel house to get some detail from.

Still not covering what I want but giving me more to work with in other areas too... Thank you all for sharing.

A point brought to mind though for later in the build. Boat Nos colouring. Are they Red with white dropshading?

Why couldn't I pick an easy subject.... cos this is far more enjoyable.

Thanks all Keith
