While not fond of "under construction" pages, I added a partial page since what is there should be enough for modelers to get the basic outside structure done: http://www.pt103.com/PT_Boat_Components_Day_Room_Cabin_Trunk.html. So far it's just port and starboard views.

I updated the port view I had posted previously so if you saved it please overwrite it with the new image.

I did my best with the text in the "Application and details for PT 103-196 and 314-367" section but there's some gaps. If you can help narrow down the turret protective shield usage and hatch hinge placement, I'd appreciate it.

That is really awesome work Jeff. I would love to see a 3D video walk-through when you finish all the sections.

Thanks guys.

I dunno Roy, I've broken the cardinal 3D animation KISS (keep it simple stupid) rule so bad I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do any animation with it. To get just the .50's added to the starboard view I had to dummy everything way down and render from a command line. In any other view it looks like a Hollywood set, nice fascia with little behind it.

In case anyone was wondering "why so large", I wanted to be able to add the details in the same scale and large enough to be useful. The seeming excessive height is planned, the top view with bridge wings will take up all of it. That was another plan, keep all the images the same size. It's easy to crop the image and re-size if desired.

Related question - are there any photos of a day cabin with bunks? I've heard that the later boats used this area for bunking when the crew size grew...

Jeff,

To the AMS afflicted modellers like myself your work is inspirational. I've adapted so much from your images and info to my 490 build and even this latest shows so much extra I can add.

Great work and a fantastic resource for anyone wanting to model one of these incredible craft.
