Hello Message Board!
For all of you who have been following the progress of the PT658, I have some good news. We are launching the boat this coming Tuesday, 17 Sept 2013. We also have reached an agreement with a local shipyard, Vigor Industries, located just across the Swan Island lagoon down towards the boat ramp at pier 208. Mr. Alan Sprott, the Shipyard GM, has been extremely cordial and helpful to our organization, and we will be entering into a month by month lease with the shipyard while we still keep other possibilities open.We are planning to move our boathouse this coming Sunday. We are busy getting the boat ready for the "Big Splash". We have been cleaning and painting the bilges and moving all kinds of stuff off the base down into our boathouse. Here are some recent photos so you can see what is going on. I will try to post more photos aftere we launch on Tuesday. Wish us luck!

Very very nice Jerry, I thank you and the all the others that supplied the time, labor, and funds needed to get her fixed up and back in the water. That 40mm mount looks just like wartime photos of the originals.

Jerry what a great job you and all the guys are doing. In case no one has ever owned a wooden boat, they require plenty of attention, so imagine this 78 foot wooden boat and all the work that goes into keeping her Sea Worthy. I love seeing the photo's Jerry, I sure wish someone would deep pockets would be willing to send a bundle of Cash to help out with all of the cost's. I have asked Will to part with some of his Millions, but he is saving it for me and The Mosquito Fleet Exhibit. GREAT JOB JERRY...............

She looks great Jerry. Sure wish we could make it up there to video the big splash. She is going to look so awesome back in the water as well. Glad you guys have a new home and that's all I'll say about that. However, I'm not sure how Dallas is going to like that color red on the hull. I caught a lot of flak over the color I used on the 623 that is darker than yours until I explained it was the white balance setting in the camera. You might try that as well.

To you and all the team well done and will be looking forward to the big day the 658 looks GREAT!!

The photos show not only the way she looks now but what it took to remove all the pieces that needed replacing and that was some work.

Looking forward to seeing her in the water.
