Speaking of 1/35th scale sailor figures, any word from Italeri on a possible PT 109 crew set?

Someone needs to come out with 1/35 figures for these boats. I have been going crazy trying to find and buy figures that I can use in my next diorama, that I can give to my figures guy. The closest to find is the British gun crew that wear shorts. The socks need to be ground off, but should work well, so my figures guy told me. It would be great if a set of 10 figures could be made to include how the guys in the Pacific would look on the boats. I prefer shorts, maybe a tee shirt, two guys as Officers, I had to buy 2 kits, 10 heads, and other items to try and make this diorama look great.

Ahoy there Frank.

I like the shirtless 25 pounder gun crew figures from Tamiya. Tamiya's British 8th Army set also had shorts on all the figures. I thought that was the set you had. Do you have the 8th Army figures or is it just the 25 pounder gun crew you have?

Cheers from Peter

Ahoy there Frank.

You lucky sea dog you! I'm jealous.

Those 25 pounder guys are very useful.

MiniArt makes a British jeep crew of 5 sitting figures wearing shorts. Many Afrika korps figures have shorts too.

Actually there are quite a few styrene figures sets with shorts in them either British or German.

Cheers from Peter

I have seen some, but they would require major work to get them where you want them to be for the boat. We will do the best we can.

I found the British Jeep crew you are referring to. They could certainly be used no doubt Pete.

Hey Frank,
Now that you have discovered some figures in 1/35 scale that can be drafted into the Navy, how about making a dozen or so and transferring them to the western front to attend the "What If" reunion.

Roy

Trust me it won't be me doing the figures, I will be the first to admit that this is way out of my realm of things. You should send a few figures to your old buddy here in Mass.
