From Ron 9 records - On 9/11/44 there was a convoy of Ron 9,10,18 and 33 with several Tenders underway for the invasion of Halmahera Islands.
As I try and recreate my father in-laws footsteps for my husband, I am putting this information in the book I am making for him.
Records show that Ron 9 was in this convoy so then the 156 and Bob would have been too. With the documents on a page in my book a photo of some kind of a PT boat convoy would be so nice.
Does anyone have any photo that might represent what this might have looked like that they would be willing to share with me?

Wouldn't a PT boat convoy be a site to see?

Thanks,
Julie

Hi MN Gal,
If you go to the official USN History of PT Boats, At Close Quarters, there is a nice photo of a similar transit to Leyte, on page 378. The book is available free on line here: http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USN/CloseQuarters/
