All;
Jerry sent me this: Franklin Timmons, was also the last "owner" of PT 308 RON 22, before Bob Savage tried to move her to another location for restoration in Delaware. As I have reported here that attempt fell thru, and 308 was destroyed. when I met him Timmons told me he was assigned to MTBTRU and a PT Tender. He never mentioned being assigned to a boat or Squadron, maybe KOTS has a mention of this.
He was a true NAVY man and a Salty Dog, till the end!!
Franklin James Timmons, Sr.

LAUREL, Del—Franklin James Timmons, Sr., 90, of Laurel passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013, at his home.
Frank was born in Milford, Del., and raised in Banger, Pa. until the age of 12. He was the eldest son of the late, Frank and Sarah (Rutt) Timmons.
Frank served in the Navy aboard a PT boat during WWII. Later he became an avid fisherman and had a charter boat called Half Pint. He operated the Timmons Marina in Dagsboro, where he was known to be very generous and faithful with his clientele.
He was a lifetime member of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company, where he was an EMT and ambulance driver. He also served as president for five years. Frank attended Bethel United Methodist church in Dagsboro when he was able. He was very open about his Christian walk and love of God. His favorite food was fried chicken.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathrin (Moore) Timmons; their son, James Timmons; and a brother Charles Timmons. He is survived by a brother, Clarence Timmons of New Castle, Del.; two grandchildren, Brandi Conley and James D. Timmons; three great-grandchildren and his care-giver and companion of 12 years, Bonnie Lee Baker and his beloved and faithful dog "Dee Dee".
A Fireman's funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Frankford chapel of Melson Funeral Services on 43 Thatcher Street in Frankford, where a visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in Frank's memory to the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 128, Dagsboro, Del. 19939.
