The photo below is tilted Biidge Box Blower. The plans I have show one on the port side and it's labled vent. PT 302 had one on both sides. Are they exact opposite of each other? I heard they were between different frames and I don't have a frame drawing for a Higgins. I'm thinking about modeling the dog too.

Nevermind! I found it, it sits forward of the other box and under the rear of the front starboard torpedo. Thanks for looking

Ahoy there Bob.
Do you have a model dog to use?
Cheers from Peter

They make 1/35 dogs, I got that Da Vinci flying machine and built that yesterday and ask Frank if he wanted flapping wings on PT 302. Wouldn't that look great to have a pair of wooden wings come out the side of the hull about where the forward torpedos are that really flapped. Frank didn't really go for it. If you guys want a neet little hour long project that is fun try one of those Academy kit's.

A monster that roars and flaps it's wings. I always loved that saying, but I guess I am not really ready to have any of my PT BOAT models in my exhibit sprouting wings. You are right though Bob, I couldn't find that second box in the drawings that Jerry had sent to me some time ago, it only showed one box port side.
Are we sure the photo you have here is from PT-302, as I do not remember the crew having a pet Dog, we will have to ask Arthur. In the meantime, I now have to flap my Wings, and get my fanny over to the hardware store, than it's off for an Oil Change. I want to get this done before it reaches 100 degrees again, and I become a Monster that roars.............

Hey Frank, Sense I found the location I've looked at a number of photos and found that little box hiding under the torpedo. I found a print of PT 265 that shows the location. I have various photos showing it on PT 202 -PT 462. I'm going to work on the boat today and I'll make it but won't glue it on until I hear from you.

Frankie: My photos show the dog in a couple of shots labeled PT-209, but there is no boat number visible.....

I have seen that photo before, if fact I might even have it, for some reason I keep remembering the name Umbriaggo for the name of the Dog.

Oh I don't know Frank if you had Stan do a mock up of the Packard add with the Wings, Paws and Face on a 77' Elco model, it would be sure to get quite a bit of interest!
Plus Stan may just hang up his modelling hat afterward and run for the hills.....
