I bought the kit at the IPMS Nationals when it first came out, then let it sit for a year or so before plucking up the courage to build it. I couldn't find a lot of info when I built this so I expect there are many errors. I did realise that torpedoes would not still have the eyebolt fitted in the warhead so I have removed them since this pic was taken. I used the Lion Roar detailing set but only about half of it.

I was going to ask for some photos. Looks really nice to me. How long did it take with all the brass?

The entire build took about 3 months. I used brass on all of the weapons (the rocket launchers are entirely brass) and things like the torp roll off racks etc. The props and gun barrels are also from the Lion Roar set. The cammo is brush painted but almost everything else is airbrushed. I use modelmaster acrylics followed by a coat of future and then oil/thinners washes for weathering.

Brush painted? Well done! Actually the nose rings on the aerial torpedo are correct. I can't tell from looking at the photo if you changed the warheads. As Italeri designed them they were practice torpedoes but also they didn't mold the plate facing directly down.

You can be very proud of that build. I'm glad you pulled it off the shelf and made the commitment! Thanks for sharing her with us.
