Just a note to thank all those who took part in any way on 'The Longest Day' June 6, 1944 which was 69 years ago today.

hi/ i rember the date,. i have a friend that lives in st mmere engl,normandy.
she posts a lot of what happened there on d day,she is also an honorary member of the band of brothers/e company. she and her two sons adopted 13 graves of various servicemen that died there.tje paratrooper that got humng up on the church steeple was eventuaklly taken down by the german and made prisoner,.he escaped and eventually returned when the americans tok the town.Sh e p[osts a lot of all the different forces vidros on FB
it was a day for all to remember
