There is a red dot or disk on the front surfaced noticeable in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqCkBy30JI4&feature=related at the 5-min 6-sec mark. Where can I find a detail drawing of the launcher mechanism of the torpedo tube's launcher mechanism so I can check this out?

That's just the head of the percussion-operated firing pin. Go to Jeff's PT103 site http://www.pt103.com and click on TORPEDO TUBES.

The correct color is actually a bronze or brass finish. Also look at Stu's torpedo tubes. Trying to imagine how much fun it would be to hit that with a hammer and watch a torpedo fire out the tube!

Here's the factory drawing of the combustion chamber.
