Well the building schedule held which was a surprise and the 157 is ready to head east.
The build included modifications to the front of the bridge, correcting the 50 cal ammo belt feed, chaining the torpedo charges and adding rooms rooms below all of the hatches that will have access ladders going down below deck. Several corrections will be made at a later date like the 20mm mount but for now this will have to do.
One down, five more to go.

Hi Roy!
Wow! Great Job! The boat shore is purty! It is unreal that you were able to do such a fantastic job in such a short time! I feel you have set the bar pretty high for all the other PT Boat modelers on this site! Again congratulations and have a great time at the show in Mt Airy. Take Care.

Thanks for your very kind words Jerry. Now if I can get her there all in one piece. You folks have a great time at the Rose Festival and take care of the "Master Chief". Maybe we can make the trip back up there next year. It sure would be great to see all you folks again.

Looks great, Roy.

BTW, where'd you get the print of the 109 ramming?

Fantastic build. I especially like the 20 mm in turret. Can you share some of the build details with us?

Great Job Roy, have a great time on your trip. Drew, I saw that print on Ebay not that long ago, I almost bought it, but forgot about it. I have so many things that need framing now, it will cost me a small bundle.

Drew, I had called Tom Freeman about an idea I had for him on doing another PT Boat painting about the Pearl Harbor incident and while I was talking to him about meeting Bud, he asked if I had his "Collision with Destiny". The next words out of my mouth was "ship it" He is headed out to the Coral Sea this summer but could not tell me what the "team" was going to do but he is good friends with Bob Ballard !! Let your imagination run wild here. He did say it would "make a very big splash" next year.

Thanks all for the kind words on this speed build. I'll post a few construction photos in a few weeks. It is by no means even close to the outstanding job that Stu, Dave and others are doing on their builds.

Thanks, Roy.

I forgot to ask you where you got your boat number decals from -- the Italeri sheet that was put out after they released the PT 596 kit?

Roy-This is a really nice job! You should be really proud. I cannot believe you were able to build this in ten days!

The decals Drew are from Echelon Fine Decals in England. There are 3 sheets in the pack which would give you the ability to number 3 or 4 boats depending on how creative you are picking the boat numbers. The product number is D356005 and I got mine in about a week.

Thanks for the comment Phillip. With as many of these things as I have to do, I fear it's the only way I'm going to finish the diorama.
