I am wondering where the 156 might have been?
or is that a stupid question?
Did most of the boats have a shore camp set up?

Julie;
The only time a boat would have a set up like shown in Nat's photos would be if the individual crew had the initiative and ingenuity to do so.. Basically, stated, if the designated cook wanted to go the extra mile for his crew, then he did. It was pure "thinking out of the box". Most guys eat either at the base chow hall or on the boat. most did not have "a Camping chow hall" as seen in these photos, this was rare. Thanks Nat and Pat!!!!
