Hi all.
Looking for the name of a crewman who served aboard PT-379 with the last name of DeWeaver or Deweaver. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Lance, this may lead you in the right direction. This is an excerpt from a posting on the internet by a James Deweaver, a grandson of the PT Boat veteran:
" My dad bought a shop called "Peck's Pokeabout" ...,did well ---worked his butt off to do it, as his father had to do just to stay alive piloting a PT boat in the south pacific in WW2,---yep old grampa Gussie did see it all, the human mince grinder at work, it was a daily assumption that you'd see it through---my grandfather would NEVER buy or ride in a Japanese car ever! Randy,
Thank you! The book is done and will be in my hands in early June. Lots of PT boat photos and narratives--716 pages, 865 photos, etc., and of course, a chapter on the rescue at Oransbari!
