Dear Board:
I have enclosed a few pictures of my latest donation of an original pair of Elco Coveralls from the Elco Naval Division. I had been trying to find a pair for many many years. These were in a trunk in an attic since 1945. Hope you emjoy seeing these as much as I enjoy having them.

Hi Frank:
Is that my Navy photo in the background of the second picture?

Frank those are so cool. I need to get up your way to see your museum stuff. I remember a bit ago you sold your turret display-it seems you have a wonderful collection of gear and momentos.
Its funny-I went to college in RI and at the time I had no idea that the PT boats and museum was right down the road!

I would love to have you stop up and see my Exhibit. It will be on display starting this July and running until the end of February 2008. This Exhibit will be at The Springfield Museum in Springfield, Masachusetts. You can stop and see it anytime during Museum hours. If I know you might stop over, I can even meet you there. Thanks for writing and yes those coveralls are COOL!!!!! Finding them was a big big break for me.

It is kinda funny in a way-having lived in Boston too!!! I would have loved to meet you while I lived there but.....I was a stupid kid back in thoses days and.....the love I had for Pt boats was at that point spawned by Mchales Navy and my grandfather.
So at 35, funny how things are different. I belong to another community and it is: herbie the love bug. Yeah I am weird, but a post recently was a gentleman who was making a set of herbie race coveralls that were an exact replica of the ones Don Knotts wore-so I chuckled a bit when I saw the elco ones.
I figure that I can make a herbie replica a whole hellava lot cheaper than an 80 foor elco!!!!!
But, I am a contractor and.....everyone in my family still thinks I am going to build both. Who knows.
Chat with you later
