I hadn't seen this before and decided to post it in case others hadn't either.
World War 2 propaganda film narrated by Lorne Greene about the Canadian Motor Torpedo Boats crews and their actions. Shows life aboard Motor Torpedo Boats during the Battle of the Atlantic, fending off attacks by German U-Boats and commerce raiders. Motor Torpedo Boat (MTB) was the name given to fast torpedo boats by the Royal Navy and the Royal Canadian Navy. The 'Motor' in the formal designation, referring to the use of petrol engines, was to distinguish them from the majority of other naval craft that used steam turbines or reciprocating engines. Produced & Directed by Sydney Newman, and released in 1944.

Does anyone here know how I could save that on my computer?
Ahoy there.
If you have Firefox you can get the Flashgot addon. Start the video, wait for the Flasgot Icon to stop flashing then click that icon and you'll get the clip.
Cheers

Thanks, Dick. These are the boats of the 29th MTB Flotilla. They are 71' 6 British Power Boat Conpany MTBs. Tony Law was the Flotilla CO and wrote a book on them:
I had the pleasure of corresponding with him years ago and ended up with an autographed copy.

Al, because the boats are moving by the screen so quickly, what type of weapon was on the bow. Is this considered the 2 pounder, which is equivalent to what in our armament . They seemed to be lightly armed.......

The boats are shown with the 2pdr, which had a bore of 40mm. Later, the 2pdr was replaced with a 6pdr (57mm). A quick way to determine which is which when looking at photos is to check the barrel. The 2pdr has a long barrel with a conical flash hider; the 6pdr has a short barrel with a thick cylindrical counter weight on the muzzle.
The boats also mounted a twin 20mm aft, twin .303s abaft the cockpit, two 18 inch torpedo tubes, and usually two depth charges.
