I know the Elco had a MK-1 Navy Clock located in the Helm area. I have not however seen one of these clocks located in the same spot for the Higgins Pt Boat. I have a clock which was donated to my exhibit from PT-199, although no idea where it was located. Any ideas.

Frank, I know for sure that there wasnt a clock in the helm area on the Higgins. I would assume there would be one in the chart house, but have never seen one in any photos and no mention in any drawings. I asked Jack Hughes from the 308 and he thought maybe in the crews quarters on the aft bulkhead. I have never seen any photos of this either. Another spot that I would guess would be over the CO's desk.

Bob, I have heard that there was one of these clocks in the engine room of the HIGGINS PT BOATS, and I too thought the most logical place would have been the chart house, but again I could not locate any photo's of the clock in this area. Maybe my buddy Jerry might have the upper hand in this discussion.............

There is a built in clock in the instrument panel in the engine room. I have seen in one picture a seperate clock, like the one you mentioned hanging on the bulkhead next to the instrument panel. But have seen no other pictures like this.
