hi cvarl yep i am stil hanging around.i saw your diorama and the ship. it wqs great and in very good detail.
pt1267/ osorry but i am not sure of the boat numbers.my eyes can,t make ouit a lot of detail anymore.
thamks again steve.as usual, rxcellent job you did.and also thanks to nateam anxious to se how thae rest turn ouut.the native ladies should stir up a comment..

I didn't look that closely, but went with the caption on the photo. Under magnification, I think your right about her being the 127.

What a treasure trove you have within your scrapbook!
I need to suggest / request that you submit the best quality scan of your photo of the USS Oyster Bay and submit it to Navsource.org with all of the information that you know about the photo; i.e. time, place, PT #s, etc.
This way, you photo will be available for all to enjoy. Navsource.org is a wonderful archive of USN ships, histories, and specifications.

hi again carl/ a very good suuggestion about posting in the nAv archives.maybe steve can find a way to do it?i hAve no other photos,.i thhink, of the oyster bay nor any morwe info on it.maybe,.somewhere in my photos but niot surre.
jeff/yes a couple of the jungle girls but not too ptrtty though,.but, i guess being there at the time your imaginatiomn could rumn away with you.especiAlly if you were tjere for a long time.they are not special but just local historical scenery.
