Welcome aboard MTB 623 for this evenings patrol. We have been assured that the Marines have control of the air and there are no reports of enemy shipping in our patrol area tonight. Looks like our only concern will be locating and eliminating any barges and shore activity. Please grab your kapok, crank up the volume and hold on. We are pleased to have you aboard the South Sea Sinner for this mission.

Nice video, Roy.
How do they get 3 R/C planes to fly in close formation?
Your 623 leaves more of a wake than my old speedboat..............
Very nice. Thank you for sharing. |

The 3 planes are real authentic A6M Zeros. Two of them have Pratt & Whitney engines however the third is the only flying 100% authentic Zero flying in the world with the original engine!! It belongs to the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino CA but is on a project in Japan at the moment. It should be back in states for their big air show in May. I filmed the 3 flying together last year just for the purpose of this project and the one by itself was filled at Nellis Air Force Base 2 years ago, again with a project like this in mind. That's why there is nothing else in the footage but sky.

I loved it when I saw it at the house. Well done for the first time, I love the start up of the engines, which is my favorite part of the Video. Where did you get the start up for the engines, I have an awesome one, which was actually used for the movie PT-109, which Dick had sent to me some time ago..........

I made a few friends down at Lake Havasu during the Desert Storm boat races. We're talking 45-50' off shore boats here so a few guys were kind enough to start and run up their engines so I could capture the sound. I think I sent you a few really nice stills from some of the excitement.

Thoroughly enjoyed that Roy. Now when you start launching torpedoes at ducks I may start getting worried! Thanks for sharing the video and your great work.

Hi Roy,
Wow! This is better than the movie PT 109. Do you think the Navy might be interested
in this?
