PT156 had a stern mount Maxon turret. This is going to be my next build! I personally know this to be the case as my father-in-law, James Grant Burgess, USA Ret. provided it on New Guinea.

PT-195 crew shot, Skipper Lt. Bill Diver is left in the M-45 Quad 50 mount. Nick- named "Tootles" during this time period this PT sported a pin up with the famous Betty Grable pose painted on the stbd. side windshield. Also shows the extra ammunition drums for the Quad 50 along port side of charthouse.
PT-195 in December 1944 at Leyte, PI. Scanned from American Heritage Magazine July/August 1998 page 68. All the clutter in this shot makes it hard to distinguish the Aft port side turret Mk-12, 20 mm mount. 20 mm Ammunition drums can be seen aft of the forward turret.
Made these MK-12 20 mm mount drawings in 2003 when new info surfaced long after the1993 RC PT-157 model was finished. This drawing design seems to apply to PT's 155, 156 and 157. The mounts on 155, 156 & 157 must have protruded enough to warrant the starboard side of the windshield to be angled to enable the mount to clear when being traversed. When Nathaniel Smith posted the first PT-154 pictures, it was noted that this turret 20's lower mount appears a more compact design, allowing it to traverse and clear the starboard side of the original design windshield. PT-195 appears to have this updated MK-12 mount as PT-154.

Wayne,
Interesting shot, and very useful for my next build. Thanks for sharing. A great scene for a diorama. I see there is also a U.S. star on the daycabin roof.
Best Regards,
Stu.
