Gentleman;
PT 516 RON 35 Flying Jini was Jim Mountcastles boat, another fine Virginia Gentleman, from Seaford Virginia.30 miles from my current home. I wrote Jim several years ago(well 1997) when I was stationed in Panama, he wrote back with a nice 6 page letter.
He was another guy with an interesting story who never went to Melville(just like Tom Kendall, Exec PT 48), he was originally boat officer on the McCawley. When it was sunk he went to Tulagi, next thing .....he is Exec of PT 46! I have always wanted to make a model of this boat too, but all I can find is a crew photo(from Ken Campbell's site) and a photo of her being hoisted in Glasgow Scotland. Anyone have a few others?Thanks and Take care,

I don't know if this will be any help in locating the pictures you're looking for, but PT 516 was actually in RON 35. Good luck, and I hope you'll post whatever you find.
