Thanks for the information and the discussion on running out the tubes. Not sure if that is possible on the old Lindberg kit with out some major modifications to the mounts. I spent enough time trying to smooth out the kit torpedo tubes to resemble a cylinderical tube rather than an oval, so I might just skip trying to run them out to draw more attention. Besides, they would just hang up on the pool ladder while on patrol!

I built my 1/32 scale Lindberg tubes so that they are movable. I can position them either in the stowed position or ready to launch. It's not that hard to make decent looking tube mounts.
