I was over Stan Pienkowski's house today, and snapped some photo's of his scratch built Eagle. Hard to believe that he has been working on her for about 15 months now. In person it is one of the most beautiful ships I have ever seen, which by the way lights up as well. This beauty will be submerged in water, so more photo's to follow when she is finished. Case was ordered, which is massive.

Awesome build!

I never sailed her but spent two weeks aboard for LE training in New London! Crawled thru her like a bilge rat during breaks!

Submerged in water? The whole ship? Heavy?

Magnificent model! Very nice attention to detail. I'm amazed he completed her in such a short amount of time. Please also pass along my congratulations to Stand.

Let me clarify. The customer wanted the Ship to be more or less a diorama, so she has no below the water line hull. She sits flat and Stan will make her look like she is in the water at the dock, like he did with my Sub/PT-108 project. The water will be a different color with very little wave movement. It is the massive case that was ordered that will be the reason she will weigh a good deal. Right now you can pick up the Ship no problem.............
