Jerry and Jason arrived at the house yesterday around 12:30, the day beginning with us sitting around and talking PT Boats, and of course our introductions. Jerry and I had spoken a million times over the last few years, but this would be the first time we met. I did not know Jason at all before today, but he was a nice guy with a real passion for History and the PT BOATS. It was a great day, as I showed the guys some artifacts, then ate lunch. After lunch, we proceeded downstairs to the PT BOAT DEN, where I keep most of the models. Jason took a ton of photographs, and we again sat around talking what else, PT BOATS. The day went by pretty fast, but I had a great time, and I am so happy that Jerry and Jason stopped by for a visit. It was a special day for me.

Jerry knows my collection consists of mostly Elco artifacts, but I fooled him when I showed him my Ron 19 Yearbook from C.J. Willis. See Jerry, I have some Higgins things.
Jerry, Jason, and myself take a few minutes to snap this photo before heading downstairs to the PT BOAT DEN.

Jerry . . .
Really he served cold-cuts, lunch meat, boy when visited he served up T-Bone Steaks and fresh Maine Lobsters.
It looks like a great time was had by all.
Second thought, maybe it wasn't Frank's, yeah it was someone else and somewhere else, yeah maybe it was was at Will's. No, just another wild old-man's dream.

Peter, you are right, the real PT73 was a 78 foot Higgins in RON13. She saw duty up in the Aleutians and in the Phillipines around Mindoro and Borneo as well. Alas, the trusty Higgins boats never git no respect!
Frank, you have a wonderful place and both Jason and I felt truly blessed to be able to visit. Your PT Boat Den was fantastic! I really enjoyed seeing all those Stan Pienkowski models and dioramas up close! Now I have a much better idea on how to set up displays of PT BOAT artifacts and memorabilia. Our PT658 museum is still in its infancy but your example is a good one to try and emulate. I also got a lot of pointers fom Don Shannon. Frank forgot to mention that he had the cold cut sandwiches served by the Swedish Bikini Team Girls! I liked the strawberry blonde one the best. Now Frank, what was the connection with PT Boats again? Did they help make PT Boats in Sweden?

The connection with PT boats is that the girls made them go much faster. The guys reved up the engines and lightened the boats to get back to those girls a lot faster.
Cheers from Peter

I was just trying to be a good host, when I had the food brought in by those gals in bathing suits. Dick, I keep the good food on hand just in case Will might one day pop over and bring Al along for the ride. Great day, spent with Great folks = a Great time, which we had. By the way, Jerry forgot to mention that they even got gifts...............
