Can't find my references right now.

When viewed from either side, are the three props on the Elco 80' PT-103 Class boats in line with one another? Or is the middle prop further aft or forward of the other two?

Also since I'm asking about props. Is the middle prop deeper in the water than the outboard props? I seem to recall hearing that it was and that it was one reason the middle engine alon was used when quiet patrolling wa wanted.

Thanks and cheers from Peter

Hi Peter,
Useing Allied Coastal Forces by John Lambert and Al Ross as a referance the centre Prop appears to be slightly to the rear and lower to the Port and Starboard Props.

So in this position it would be easer to run on this Prop as it would not require the wheel to be held constanly to one side to counteract the swing that a side Prop would give to the Boat.

Hi Peter,

I would just like to add that Al would proberly be the one to have the final answer on your question.

It is also interesting to note thah both the 70' and 77' boats had the centre prop a bit further back than the side props.

Well good night mate.
