Hi shipmates.
I jsaw these photos CJ took of his recently completed Model of CJ's old Boat PT242. CJ purchased the Dumas PT212 1:31 scale kit, and then some aftermarket "Loyal Hanna Dockyard" gun kits and scratch built several other parts, like the Mark13 torpedoes, in order to make a model that is outfitted with guns and torpedoes like his own PT242 back in 1944. CJ was a crew on this boat for 13 months. Then he painted it to match the camo pattern Measure 31-20L. I asked him if I could post the pictures of his boat here, and he agreed to allow me to share them with you. I personally think CJ is a much better model builder than I am! Way to go, CJ! I think you could give Stan a run for his money! Enjoy the pictures.

Nice work C.J., building those wood kits is a lot of skilled work. And the fact that a crewman from her history built it adds a lot of class to the model.

That has to be a great feeling building a replica of the boat you served on. Nice work CJ and thanks for the opportunity to see it.
