Hi Jeff thanks for posting. I have heard rumours this boat PT728 Vosper at Fleet Obsolete was for sale! Just curious why are you calling it "ELPER"? I am unfamiliar with that term. Does it stand for something? Thanks Jerry PT658 Portland

I wasn't sure if it was an Elper or a Vosco so I went with the former.

It is a Vosper Hull. I am surprised it is for sale, considering it is the only operating boat that group owns. Wonder what's next.

OK so I get it now Elco + Vosper = Elper All kidding aside, in my humble opinion the boat shouldn't be classified as an Elco, just because the topsides were modified, but imitation is the greatest form of flattery I suppose? I am also surprised that the boat is for sale being in that she can get underway and make money! Maybe Capt Tom will purchase the boat at a discount? That would be cool! Good luck to whomever decides to buy her.

Frank;
I am not suprised, the website says 4 boats are for sale. This is the 4th boat.
Take care,

I had not been to the site Ted, so I was unaware they are selling 4 boats. Looks like things are falling down with that group.

I wonder if this is one of those instances where everything is for sale at a price. $1,000,000. Seriously?

ROBERT IANNUCCI HAS BEEN QUOTED AS SAYING THAT, OVER THE YEARS, HE HAS INVESTED OVER A MILLION DOLLARS IN GETTING THE HYBRID 728 BOAT UP AND RUNNING. THAT'S PROBABLY A PRETTY GOOD GUESSTIMATE OF WHAT IT MIGHT COST TO RESTORE HIS OTHER THREE BOATS.
