USS IOWA BB61 has finally found a home. She is the last of her class to become a museum ship. check it out at : http://www.pacificbattleship.com/
Some day I will make it to Pearl Harbor and visit my Dad's ship, the USS MISSOURI BB 63, he was Assistant Engineering Officer on her 1946-48. He also was a "passenger" aboard her when she went down to Panama in July 1950. at Cristobal he departed the ship for his new assignment at Coco Solo, CZ, he would leave Panama in late 1952, and return once again to the New York Telephone Company.
Take care,
TED

Always fantastic news when a part of History can be saved or restored. Too many folks consider these relics a waste of money and space, but I am happy to see not everyone is so narrow minded. Thanks for the info Ted............
