Today was a good day. The sun is shining, the temperature isn't too cold, and Victor's book arrived. It's an interesting mix of photos and drawings that will be very useful for enthusiasts and modelers. There are a few caption errors for which we may have to rig the grate and have him flogged....... but overall it's a very nice publication.

One of the nicest things about it is the quality of the paper on which it's printed. Schiffer used a high gloss coated paper that shows photographic detail clearly. The color photos of the models and Dick's cutaways were sharp and clear.

The inclusion of the material on the ELCOPLANE was a particularly nice touch. It clears up a lot of misconceptions about this experiment and illustrates the components well.

Nice work, Victor.

I got mine yesterday, and I must say that Victor has produced a masterpiece. I will spend many enjoyable hours with this book. I cannot imagine a more complete reference. Bravo Victor!

I got my copy as well.

What a great presentation! I know of the effort that Victor put into this and it was well worth it! It is a wonderful photo journal on large format pages so the details are excellent!

Add my 'Bravo!' to the list.

Hi you all,
Thank you all for your kind words. Still I wish they arranged the images more like the
format of vol. I, especially in the Chapter on models. Those drawings and cutaways by
Dick Washichek are excellent because of the special effort he put into them. The
PT 809 drawing, discovered by Al Ross 30 years ago and redrawn by Dick recently, was
published for the first time. I guess by now everyone had discovered t least 5 glaring caption
errors in the book.
It has been almost 15 years between books and I can feel the old age catching up on me.
Although there are still a lot of PT boat information out there waiting to be discovered, there will be no Vol. III. Still I hope the legend of the boat will live on forever.
God bless you all,
Victor

It is nice to know Victor that for those of us that have had books published, they will live on forever. Long after we are gone, our work will hopefully inspire the younger people to come up with more material. These books can only enhance the reference materials available for those who know little about the boats..........................By the way, my book will be at the house on Monday, Can't wait......

I ordered another copy of Victor’s new book from Amazon last week. Today I received an email stating my order was canceled given a lack of availability from their suppliers. Anyone know where I can purchase a copy?
