Which one of the following is the correct usage?
1. PT Boat
2. PT boat
3. PT (used in Close Quarters)

Hi Victor,
I like the way Frank Andruss puts it. PT BOATS.
By the way did you ever find that article in All Hands? Jerry

Good question Victor, and one I wondered about also. I go with the spelling found in the Navy document Dick has shared with us, "AN ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY OF PT'S IN WORLD WAR II". They spell it "PT boats". It's also spelled that way in the Bureau Of Ships document, "MOTOR TORPEDO BOAT ENGINEERS HANDBOOK".

I agree, Jeff. Most official documents from "back in the day" seem to use that configuration.

I know when I'm talking about a specific boat I call it PT 495, not PT Boat 495.
