Stan has been very busy, flip flopping between several projects he is working on. PT-10 is coming along with all torpedoes now finished. The 50 caliber guns have been fitted to the newly completed turret domes, and Stan has completed PT-10 life rings. At this time, inside turret components are being made, as well as clear view screens. Dead lights are ready to be placed, with throttle controls, compass, and horn to be fabricated. The boat is in the final assembly stage and should be completed in the next several weeks.

Yeah, but Jerry?

That photo is dated 1942 and that makes that boat a 77-footer and wasn't the domes on the 77-footers' turrets a little different than those on the 70-footers?

Just asking ...

Yeup, Stan is doing a bang up job on the PT-10 ... At the same time, he is working on my 1:300 scale USCGC TANEY (in her 1944 configuration).

I might ask him to do my kit of AIRWOLF and then, my USS ENTERPRISE (NCC-1701) and MAYBE ask him to scratch-build an USCG 83-footer.

Although the 70 Footers Turrets were a bit different then what you posted, this is a great photo for anyone's future project. I can see why they got rid of the plexi glass enclosures. If you look at the ammo boxes, there was not much in the way of room, nor an abundance of ammo that could be carried. This problem coupled with those domes fogging over spelled doom for this idea of an enclosed turret on the boats. By the way, I heard what you said about the Elco boats, and I am now forced to purchase an 80 Foot boat. I will have it restored to running condition, and will attack you as you are leaving the docks................
