Hi everybody.
You may remember our previous discussion on this board about what happened to cause the damage to the stern of a PT boat in RON22. We all surmised it must have been PT305. I just found out it was not a mine and it was not PT305! It had to be PT308 based upon a review of the PT308 logbook. It seems that the boat was rammed by PT304 during the heat of battle against a 4 ship German Convoy. All this happened around 2230 on March9th 1945. Here is the photo. Read the logbooks and enjoy! Jerry

Jerry;
Thanks for looking through the logbooks of 308. As you will remember, I wrote awhile back that this boat was PT 308(LA DEE DA). Did you find any new PT 308 photos while you were at NARA?
Take care,
TED

RAY . . .
You must copy the image link from the PhotoBucket Thumb Nail view (album view) NOT, NOT from an enlarged Photobucket page, it has extra coding in the hyper link that the "image tag" command does not understand see below (RED) type
[i m a g e]http:// s130. photobucket. com/albums /p249 /ptboats /? action = view & current = DSC_0018.jpg[/i m a g e]
(Spaces where add to keep from functioning)
Never copy an image link from the browser's address bar when using the "Image Tag", only when using the clickable link "URL Tag".
Re-read the instructions.
As an example of the correct "Image Tag" see below is the typical "image tag" code, when copied from the Thumb Nail (album) view: Plesase note (there have been spaces added in the line to keep the tag from initiating and displaying an image).

See images below:

DO NOT COPY the web browser's address bar loction when using the the "Image Tag" (displaying a picture directly in the message board. Only when making a clickable link to the image using the URL code.

It worked! Ok, this was the night of Nov. 19/20 1944. PT 489 rammed the 495. Looks alot like the first picture posted.
